Acumen Waste Services Appoint New Managing Director

Specialist waste management and environmental services company Acumen Waste Services have appointed Kevan Underhill (48) as their new managing director.  He joins following the group’s recent management buy out from Lloyds Development Capital (“LDC”).

Kevan succeeds Iain Johnson, who has acted as an interim MD, to enable Acumen to prepare for their management buy out.

Acumen provide Total Waste Management advice and services to customers in the Chemical sector, plus other key sectors: Industrial, Construction, and Food & Retail.  The company is expert in developing and implementing innovative waste management solutions that minimise environmental impact and generate sustainable cost reductions.

The Company has secured a string of recent contract wins, including a £1M contract to provide Total Waste Management services to Biofuels plc, over the next three years.
