Engineers from Leeds University available for placements
06/02/07 #Article/Skills

Written by Paul Lawrene of Humber Chemical Focus (click for more)

Need engineering projects completed but lack the resources?

Need skills in Chemical, Mechanical, Electronic, Electrical or Civil Engineering or Product Design?

Why not find out how the University of Leeds, a world class engineering university, can help?

We can offer you some of our top engineering students to undertake 10-12 week projects with you between June-September 2008.

But you will have the final say on whether they are suitable for you or not. Sound an interesting proposition?

If you wish to proceed to the next stage all you need to do is complete a brief template advert and we will do the rest. We will use this to advertise your opportunity to our specially selected top students. We will then forward you the CVs of those who have expressed a positive interest in working with you on your project. You can then interview as many or as few of these students as you wish. We will arrange this for you.

I should stress that any involvement on your part is ‘commitment free’ up until the interviews (i.e. you need only agree to participate in the programme if you find a student that meets your requirements and who you want to work with and who wants to work with you). So at this stage, providing you are likely to have a suitable project, you have nothing to lose by completing the template. The decision to participate can then be confirmed or declined on the basis of the interviews. If you are interested please let me know and I will send you the template. I am obviously also very to discuss queries on all aspects of the programme as well.

If you would to know more information on the programme please contact Derek Hurren, via the contact details below. RSVP 30th April 2008.
