Competency within the hazardous environment

The Construction, Hazardous Industries, Offshore and Railway Groups have collaborated to organise this important event debating competency within the hazardous environment at the National Space Centre in Leicester.
 
Sessions include:

• Competence management - experiences from the railway industry, by Paul Durrant, Managing Director of RPD
• Human factors: all in the mind? Competence assurance in safety critical industries, by Martin Anderson, HM Specialist Inspector (Human Factors), HSE
• Safety competency within the construction industry, by Philip Baker of BSP Solutions
• Participants’ workshop facilitated by Pete Ackroyd, Hazardous Industries Group committee member and Senior Consultant for Greenstreet Berman.

This event also offers delegates the opportunity to network with Group committee members and industry professionals.

Delegate fees include:

·                                 buffet lunch and refreshments

·                                 free parking – permits will be supplied

·                                 free access to National Space Centre galleries from 10am to 5pm (Rocket Tower closes at 4:30pm)

The cost to attend is £65+VAT (£76.38) for IOSH members and £85+VAT (£99.88) for non-members.
