Beyond Today’s Fuels: Optimising resource potential in response to increasing demand

The NNFCC are holding an event present the findings of a series of Defra-funded studies which map a course for the development of a sustainable renewable fuels, chemicals and materials industry. The studies are as follows;

·                     Addressing land-use issues for non-food crops, in response to increasing fuel and energy generation opportunities. ADAS.

·                     Feasibility of a UK lignocellulosic ethanol facility. Black & Veatch.

·                     Feasibility of UK renewable chemicals manufacturing plant (PLA). Peter Reineck Associates.

·                     Opportunities for renewable chemicals in the UK. Nexant.

This event will bring together the authors and representatives from the NNFCC. Discussion at the event will focus on the project conclusions and subsequent development of the UK's strategy for optimising resource potential in response to increasing demand.

We aim to establish interest from industry stakeholders and disseminate the findings of these studies as widely as possible.
